ONLINE PURCHASE TERMS
Terms and Conditions
The terms that apply when you browse our website or purchase physical products, digital products, software licences or services from JL IT Solutions.
Effective date: 24 September 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of jlitsolutions.co.za and purchases made from JL IT Solutions (Pty) Ltd (“JL IT Solutions”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms, our Refunds & Returns Policy and our Privacy Policy.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the South African Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, or other applicable law.
2. Eligibility and customer information
You must have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement or place the order with the consent of a parent, guardian or authorised representative. You are responsible for providing accurate billing, delivery and contact information and for keeping your account credentials secure.
3. Products and services
Our store may offer physical technology products, accessories and equipment; downloadable or electronically delivered software and licence keys; subscriptions; and professional or technical services. Product photographs are illustrative. We take reasonable care to describe products accurately, but colour, packaging and minor specifications may vary. Material substitutions will not be made without your agreement.
You are responsible for checking published compatibility, system, connectivity and installation requirements before ordering. Please contact us before purchase if you need help confirming suitability.
4. Prices, taxes and errors
Prices are displayed in South African rand unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes and delivery charges are shown during checkout before you place the order. Prices may change without notice, but a change will not affect an order already accepted by us.
If a price, product description, promotion or stock status contains an obvious error, we may correct it and contact you before accepting or fulfilling the order. If payment has already been taken and we cannot supply on the corrected terms, you may cancel for a full refund.
5. Orders and acceptance
Your checkout submission is an offer to buy. An automated order acknowledgement confirms receipt but does not necessarily mean that we have accepted the order. Acceptance occurs when we confirm dispatch, deliver the digital product or licence, begin the agreed service, or otherwise expressly accept the order.
We may decline or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including unavailable stock, a supplier discontinuation, an obvious pricing error, failed payment verification, suspected fraud, delivery restrictions or a legal prohibition. If we cancel after receiving payment, we will refund the affected amount.
6. Payment
Payment must be made through a method offered at checkout. Payment services may be provided by third parties under their own terms and security controls. You authorise us and our payment provider to process the transaction and confirm that you are entitled to use the selected payment method.
Ownership of physical goods remains with JL IT Solutions until we receive cleared payment in full. We may suspend delivery, activation or service where payment fails, is reversed or is reasonably suspected to be fraudulent.
7. Stock and supplier availability
Stock information is updated regularly but is not guaranteed until an order is accepted. Some products may be sourced from third-party suppliers after you order. If a product becomes unavailable, we will contact you and offer an appropriate substitute, revised lead time, store credit or refund. You are not required to accept a substitute.
8. Delivery of physical products
Available courier services, charges and estimated service levels are displayed at checkout based on the delivery details and parcel information available at the time. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly stated. Supplier delays, remote-area routing, weather, security incidents and courier disruptions may affect delivery.
You must provide a complete street address, an accessible delivery location and a person who can accept the parcel. Additional costs caused by an incorrect address, repeated failed delivery or an unauthorised redirection may be charged where reasonable and lawful.
Risk in physical goods passes to you when the order is delivered to you or a person you authorised to receive it. If you independently appoint a carrier that we did not offer, risk may pass when the goods are handed to that carrier, to the extent permitted by law. Please report visible transit damage, shortages or incorrect items promptly so that we can assist.
9. Digital delivery and software licences
Digital products may be supplied by email, download, account access or licence-key delivery. You are responsible for providing a working email address and meeting published system requirements. Delivery is complete when the download, licence key or access details are made available to you.
Software is licensed, not sold, and remains subject to the applicable end-user licence terms. Unless the relevant licence expressly permits it, you may not copy, resell, share, reverse engineer, circumvent activation, sublicense or use a licence on more devices or users than purchased. Licence keys remain confidential and may be suspended or deactivated for fraud, misuse, non-payment or an approved refund.
10. Services
Professional services may be subject to a quotation, statement of work, service-level agreement or other written terms. Those project-specific terms prevail where they conflict with these general terms. You must provide timely access, information, approvals and materials reasonably required to perform the services.
11. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Order cancellations, the voluntary 14-day return option for eligible unused physical goods, defective-product remedies, digital refund conditions, return-delivery costs and refund processing are explained in our Refunds & Returns Policy. That policy forms part of these terms.
12. Warranties and defective goods
Products are supplied with the statutory warranties and quality protections required by South African law. Manufacturer warranties may provide additional benefits and are subject to their stated conditions, but do not replace your non-excludable statutory rights.
Warranty cover does not ordinarily extend to fair wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, unauthorised repairs or modifications, incorrect installation, incompatible equipment, malware, data loss, power surges or use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions, unless the law provides otherwise.
13. Intellectual property
The website, branding, original text, graphics, software and other content owned by JL IT Solutions are protected by intellectual-property law. You may use the website for personal or internal business purchasing purposes, but may not reproduce, scrape, modify, distribute or commercially exploit our content without written permission.
14. Acceptable website use
You may not interfere with the website’s operation or security; introduce malicious code; attempt unauthorised access; use automated systems in a way that places an unreasonable load on the site; impersonate another person; or use the website for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive activity.
15. Third-party services and links
Our website may use or link to third-party payment, courier, manufacturer, hosting or other services. We are not responsible for independent third-party websites or their content. This does not reduce our responsibility for obligations we owe you as the supplier under applicable law.
16. Privacy and electronic communications
We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Transactional messages about an order or account are necessary to fulfil your request. Marketing communications will be sent in accordance with your choices and applicable law, and you may unsubscribe from them.
17. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed. We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, but will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and perform as soon as reasonably possible.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that may not legally be excluded, including liability arising from gross negligence, unsafe or defective goods where the law imposes liability, fraud, or any protected consumer right.
18. Complaints and disputes
Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve a complaint promptly. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. You retain the right to approach an appropriate consumer-protection body, ombud, tribunal or court where applicable.
19. General
If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision immediately is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our consent, except where law permits. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a legitimate business transfer, provided this does not reduce your rights.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to our products, operations or applicable law. The current version and effective date will be published on this page. Changes do not retrospectively reduce rights already acquired under an accepted order.
